"There's another story about the Harry Potter shop in Santa Monica , CA where he went in with his son to get dressed up as Harry (his son) for a party. As the owner helped Gary and his son out (now, this story came from the owner, Stan, himself to me last year). Gary was really excited about it, (Stan doesn't know it's Gary, yet) all of it. When they were cashing out, Stan mentions that the father would make a really good Sirius Black at the same party. Gary smiled, nodded and removed his sunglasses, revealing his identity. He just said, "Yeah, I might do that sometime". Stan told me the place went silent and Sirius Black merchandise and things flew off the shelf, while Gary was cornered at the register with "fan girls" begging for his autograph."
