At the same time, there was begun the locomotive manufacture based on a large range of ALCO motors. The locomotive Diesel engines with outputs ranging 1500-4000 HP were manufactured at Resita according to ALCO license. Being utilized the technical documentation made available by Brush Company in England, there were manufactured 30 pcs. Diesel electric locomotives of 3500 HP which were delivered to British Railways.
