Arctic Songs

Idea:

During the Winter we talk,learn, play, and explore cold places like the artic. One of the ways we did this was trough song.

It goes something like this,

Walking through the artic

(children echo)

And what do think I saw...

(children echo)

A great big polar bear and he said "stand up"(children stand up) "and shake, shake, thisa' way, shake, shake thata' way, shake, shake, thisa' way and then sit down."

I used this song as a activity in group time with my 4 and 5 year olds they really liked the movement. After they learned the song and movements I added instruments (shakers/drums). "

 

and then sit down........:))))
