"My wrist is hurting and I can't play properly," said the 31-year-old Welshman. "I don't want to make it worse so I've decided to pull out and rest it before the next tournament. "Every time I play a shot with pace I get a lot of pain. If I'd carried on I don't think I could win another frame and I don't want to risk making it worse. "I've never pulled out of a tournament before and it's not nice. Even if I'd won tonight my decision would have been the same. Maybe I should never have come here.
