Milyen kár, hogy a hivatalos nemzetközi szabályok nem így szólnak. Ez is egy olyan jól sikerült magyar találmány, mely immár önálló útra tért, s mindenki elhiszi.... Az ún. zöld könyv a létező legrosszabb, mindenkit óva intek tőle.

Az eredeti szabály szerint:
II./16.(e) The cue-ball cannot be snookered by a cushion. If the curved face of a cushion obstructs the cue-ball and is closer to the cue-ball than any obstructing ball not on, the cue-ball is not snookered.
