I'LL TALK TO HAMMERSBIG PHIL SCOLARI has piled the pressure on West Ham boss Alan Pardew with a ‘come and get me' plea.
The News of the World can reveal Scolari has been in secret talks with potential new Hammers owner Kia Joorabchian.
Scolari, who turned down the England job last summer, is a long-time friend of Joorabchian and confirmed he has been in constant contact.
Last night Scolari said: "Kia is my friend, we have been talking a lot recently, in fact almost every day.
"He has approached me to work for him before and every offer he makes is respectful and deserves my attention.
"Right now, I am still coaching Portugal but no door is closed."
Current manager Pardew is feeling the heat after failing to register a win since the opening day of the season. His West Ham side crashed out of Europe in midweek and have failed to score for over six hours, losing four on the spin.
Iranian-born tycoon Joorabchian who helped controversially bring Argentian stars Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to Upton Park,is heading the consortium now expected to take over the club.
Scolari is widely thought to be in the top three coaches in world football and his arrival would be a sensational coup for Joorabchian.
It would also be a kick in the teeth for Pardew, who has turned around West Ham's fortunes and last season led them to the FA Cup final.
On Sunday, they face a high-flying Reading side who Pardew walked out on in controversial fashion to take over at Upton Park.
