Speculation tonight is that Chelsea striker Carlton Cole and Charlton captain Luke Young are set to move across the City to follow Jonathan Spector and Lee Bowyer as Alan Pardew's latest summer signings.

Former England under-21 striker Cole - who looked set to move to Spurs last week before the move broke down - would cost the Hammers in the region of £2m, whilst Young - a player linked with a move to East London for several months - will cost a further £4m.

Meanwhile, the Hammers are still keeping tabs on Argentinian international Javier Saviola, who is currently on duty at the World Cup in Germany.

The 24-year-old striker has spent the last two years on loan at Monaco and Seville, and current club Barcelona are thought to be willing to allow the player nicknamed 'The Rabbit' to leave Spain permanently. (kumb.com)
