Molik Picks Up First Win Since March

BALI, Indonesia -

Alicia Molik picked up her first match win in more than five months on Tuesday at the Wismilak International, advancing to the second round in Bali. The No.3 seed, who had been out of action since early April due to a battle with vestibular neuronitis, defeated Argentina's Mariana Diaz-Oliva, 76(6) 63. The victory was Molik's first since a second round win against Gisela Dulko in Miami back in March.

"Really happy to win tonight," Molik said. "I hadn't won a match since March, so it's good for my confidence. Unfortunately, I got used to winning in a fun way, playing really well, so even though I won tonight, I wasn't totally happy with the way I played. I felt like I was struggling a little bit under the lights. I haven't played a night match in quite a while, so it took me some time to get used to it."
