Barbara Fruth and Gottfried Hohmann of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig have observed extensive meat eating and meat sharing by bonobos at Lomako, but most "chimp-ologists" still refer to the bonobo as the "vegetarian" great ape. "
