Blues and Baggies in Dickov battle
Leicester manager Micky Adams has confirmed that Birmingham and West Brom are battling it out to sign striker Paul Dickov.
The 28-year-old, who has scored 12 goals this season, has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for just £150,000 following Leicester's relegation from the Premiership.
Walkers Stadium chief Adams wants him to stay, and said: "Paul is talking to a couple of clubs who asked for permission to talk to him and they are Birmingham and West Bromwich Albion.
"We have reiterated to Paul our desire to keep him and I think he owes this football club something and I will be disappointed if he leaves."
Birmingham manager Bruce plans to be one of the busiest managers in the transfer market this summer, while West Brom chief Megson wants to strengthen his squad after promotion to the Premiership.
Bruce has already concluded one deal by extending the loan of Chelsea striker Mikael Forssell for another season.
Bruce is also on the trail of Forssell's Chelsea team-mate Jesper Gronkjaer, as well as Liverpool striker Emile Heskey.
