ROCK star Bryan Adams' ex-lover has claimed that he cheated on her with Princess Diana.

Former Bond girl Cecilie Thomsen, who dated Adams for 12 years, alleged the affair took place in 1996 after Diana's divorce from Charles.

She claimed it was one reason she broke up with the Canadian singer.

Miss Thomsen, 28, who appeared in Tomorrow Never Dies, said: 'I knew Diana had an affair with Bryan. Paul Burrell introduced him to Diana.

'Ours was a stormy relationship and the affair didn't make it any easier.'

Adams, 44, has not denied the claims. He said last night: 'It is pure conjecture and speculation.'

Paul Burrell claimed in his book, A Royal Duty, that the Princess had nine secret lovers, including a famous musician.

The book, serialised in the Daily Mirror, sold 77,248 in a week - the third fastest UK seller of the year.

The row over disclosure of allegations made by a former royal servant will return to court today.

The Guardian newspaper will ask a judge to overturn a ban on identification of a second ex-Palace worker fighting to suppress the claims.
