Tennis stars, entertainers and celebrities expected at charity fashion show Monday as part of prestigious tennis event in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA – Venus and Serena Williams will unveil their latest clothing designs at the annual WTA Tour Charities Gala, Monday, Nov. 3, in Santa Monica, Ca., where several Hollywood celebrities are expected to be in attendance for a cocktail reception, silent auction and fashion show.

The Williams sisters’ individual clothing designs will be modeled at the fashion show, which will feature other tennis stars, such as Jennifer Capriati, modeling clothes from the Poleci line. The show will open with Venus’ designs from Wilsons Leather on display. Capriati and other tennis stars will show off a wide selection from the Poleci collection. Serena’s original Aneres designs will close the show, which will include entertainment by Tony Award-winning performer Linda Hopkins, who starred in the box-office hit musical Ain’t Misbehavin’.

A host of Hollywood entertainers and celebrities, such as music superstar Brandy, will be on hand for the cocktail reception, silent auction and fashion show taking place at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel at 6 p.m. The silent auction will include authentic autographed items by Lakers star Shaquille O’Neal, the cast of “Friends’’, Capriati and the Williams sisters, plus a chance for a special package that includes two tickets to the Bank of America WTA Tour Championships singles final and the winner’s tennis racket presented by the player.

The gala, headed by honorary chairperson and New Regency film producer Arnon Milchan, is part of the prestigious Bank of America WTA Tour Championships presented by Porsche. Proceeds from the gala will benefit the City of Hope, one of the world’s leading research and treatment centers for cancer, diabetes and HIV/AIDS, as well as the Domestic Violence Clearinghouse and Legal Hotline (Stop The Violence), the STAPLES Center Foundation and WTA Tour Charities.
