GETTING BROAD-MINDED WITH DANNII MINOGUE
IT'S official - size does NOT matter, it's what you can do with it that counts.
And what makes this verdict all the more interesting is that it comes from the mouth of the ultra-delicious Dannii Minogue - pop uber-babe and one half of the sexiest pair of sisters in the world.
We're talking mobile phones, of course. What on earth did you think?
Dannii was talking exclusively to iblog at the launch of BT-Yahoo's latest broadband service, at the top of the famous BT tower in central London.
Now you might think that talking tech is dull.
But let me assure you, it's not when you're getting the low-down from Kylie's highly gorgeous sis.
Which is how we come to be discussing Dannii's mobile. For the record, she uses a Nokia picture-messaging phone which she thoughtfully switches off so we can enjoy an uninterrupted chat.
"I'm travelling four or five days a week," says Dannii, "so my mobile and my laptop are my best friends.
"I'm a big text user - I send hundreds. I'm a real demon - very fast.
"And I use e-mail a lot. I'm kind of crazy about e-mailing pictures to my family and friends. With my family being in Australia the time difference is horrendous and it's difficult to catch someone awake and not in the middle of the night, so e-mail is perfect.
"At the moment, a lot of my friends are having kids and they are very proud to e-mail me the first picture - you know, here's the squidgy little thing."
Dannii, who is currently writing a new album and working out dates for a forthcoming tour, is no techno nut, but she does get "excited" when a new whizzy little bit of kit comes out.
"I live out of a suitcase so, for me, technology is very important. Broadband has been an absolute saviour.
"I can't take my entire CD collection away with me, but I've got my I-pod and I listen to music on my computer and it allows me to keep in touch with everyone.
"At the moment I'm trying to get my parents interested. The next step, for Christmas, is to get cameras up and running in both countries.
"My sister and I are both in London so we see each other frequently, but when we're away we stay in touch by phone and text."
As she's on the move so much, Dannii sometimes shops on the net.
"I buy cosmetics and beauty products mainly," she says. "Aromatherapy.com is very good and I visit Vogue.com for all the fashion shows. I'm not really someone who surfs the net - I am very direct, I go straight for what I want. If you shop on the net, you're looking for good service and quick delivery."

Oh, and BT Yahoo's new broadband service...it's fabulously quick and has some great functions, most notably in terms of parental controls. There are currently more than a million broadband users in the UK and broadband uptake is currently growing faster than mobile phone sales.
