És a döntőről:
MARCO HITS MARK FOR SIX
Hong Kong's Marco Fu became the first overseas winner of the Hasseroder Premier League, when he recovered from 5-3 adrift with a six frame winning burst to defeat newly crowned World champion Mark Williams in the final of the League at the Crow Tree Leisure Centre, Sunderland.
For twenty-five year old Fu, who turned professional in 1997, it is his first major professional title and he bagged the winner's cheque of £45,000 and a £6,00 high break bonus for his 139, made during the round robin stage. It crowned a marvellous few weeks for Fu, who beat Ronnie O'Sullivan in the world championship, eventually bowing out in the quarter finals.
Williams' earnings from the league carried him over £700,000 for the season, making him only the second player in history after Stephen Hendry to achieve that figure.
Williams carved out a 5-3 lead in the first session, helped by a magnificent 138 total clearance, just one short of Fu's high break mark, and 99 to finish the session.
But Fu came storming back in the final session. A break of 103 set him off on his six frame run to the line, as he added further breaks of 57, 71, 51 and 66.
