STEROID MAXIMUS COMES ALIVE IN EUROPE

11, 12, 13 APRIL 2003

J.G.Thirlwell will be debuting the European version of
the eighteen-piece Steroid Maximus ensemble.

The live realisation of Steroid Maximus sees JGT exploring
and expanding the themes on the album with different voicings,
radically reworking Steroid Maximus material with arranger/
trumpetmeister Steven Bernstein (Sex Mob, Lounge Lizards) for
an ensemble which includes three trumpets, trombone, flute,
baritone sax, keyboards, samples, three violins, viola, cello,
concert percussion, latin percussion, bass, guitar and drumkit,
with J.G. Thirlwell himself serving as conductor and maestro of
ceremonies.

Baby Zizanie et al) will be spinning a freeform set of seven
inches, new-no-and-micro-wave, crime/spy/suspense, sexy,
french yeh-yeh and le pop plus hard-on funk and electronic throb.
