The original guys of Guns N Roses (also in the news for playing live at Sundance) have been writing and recording demos for their project together.
The remaining big question revolves around who could be the potential lead singer.
Could Steelheart's Mike Matijevic be one of those in the running? Yes indeed. Mike was just interviewed by Canadian journo Mitch Lafon, who forwarded me some info.
Mike is currently working on his new album, for which has has written about forty songs to choose from, aiming to start recording in April. Mike says the most important thing for him is that he has found his true direction in music.
Aside from his own material, Mike has also worked with the new Gun's project - Slash, Izzy, Duff and Matt. He has written melodies, lyrics and sang on four songs. Where that goes he does not yet know, but says he will see what the future beholds."
