Zsolt László

The actor playing Tári in Chacho Rom has a serious theatre and film carrier and a number of prizes to his name.
Zsolt László was born in 1965 and has graduated from the Academy of Theatre and Film in 1989. From 1987 he has worked in Madách Theatre for two years, then signed a contract with Radnóti Theatre. From 1994 he was a member of Új Theatre. He is a freelance actor since 1998. He has played in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and has played Hamlet. He has also played Cléante in Moliére's Le Malade Imaginaire, Swallow in L'Avare, Don Carlos in Don Juan. He played Lvov in Checkov's Ivanov and the Scientist in Vörösmarty's Csongor and Tünde. He has played many more roles on stage, both modern and classical. In the spring of last year Crime and Punishment was staged at the Ericsson Studio of the Budapest Sudio Theatre. He took part in the production. He has also played in The Cherry Orchard in Új Theatre. He has taken part in such successes as The Marriage of Figaro, Bandits, Parasites, A Streetcar named Desire, The Merchant of Venice. Last summer he took part in the performance of The Taming of the Shrew in the Várszínház in Gyula.
He is also very popular as a film actor. He has performed on Ildikó Szabó's Girls in 1995, then in Szamba by Róbert Koltai, and in 1996 he played in Murderous Mood by Pál Erdőss. He played in the films El Nino and Olivér VII. He was awarded the Television Standard Prize in 1987, the Mari Jászai and Hekuba prizes in 1995.
This continuing success will most probably go on with Chacho Rom. |
