The Star Wars: (Version 1)
When George Lucas first came up with the idea of Star Wars, he sat down and brainstormed his thoughts into a script for a movie. This was the very first draft of Star Wars that George Lucas ever wrote and it's very different from the the final version which was later to be named A New Hope. It was written in May, 1974 - three years before the release of the first Star Wars film in 1977. For those of you who take the time to read this script, you may find that some of his original ideas might show up in the next two prequel sequels.

The Star Wars: Adventures of the Starkiller (Version 2)
This is the second version of the Star Wars script which eventually became famous as A New Hope. It has many more similarities to the famous movie we know today than the first version, but is still far from the fourth version. This script was completed on January 28, 1975.

The Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Starkiller (Version 3)
This is the third version of the script which evolved into A New Hope. It still has many differences between the final draft. This script was finished on August 1, 1975.

Star Wars: A New Hope (Version 4) - FINAL DRAFT
This is the public version of the script and the one that was used for the movie Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. It was finished at the end of 1975 - the movie was released in 1977.
