Reeves Gabrels and The Cure's Robert Smith Collaborate On New Song, "Yesterday's Gone" For Web-Only Release Via the iCASTER
Guitarist/songwriter/producer Reeves Gabrels and The Cure's Robert Smith have collaborated on a new song "Yesterday's Gone," which will be available for download in MP3, exclusively through the iCASTER, a multimedia player available at www.iCAST.com To download the track, visitors must play either the Cure's Bloodflowers album or Gabrels previous solo albums Sacred Squall Of Now or Night In Amnesia in the 'iCASTER'-- a downloadable multi-media player with integrated chat, instant messaging and global database of audio/video streams -- to 'unlock' the file.
Written and recorded in London and Los Angeles, "Yesterday's Gone" features a lead vocal by Robert Smith and was performed entirely by Gabrels and Smith.

Jason Miller from Godhead makes a guest appearance on backing vocals. The track was mixed by Gary Clayton in San Francisco.

Gabrels and Smith have previously worked together on the Cure hit "Wrong Number" in 1997 and recorded "A Sign From God" for the Orgazmo soundtrack under the pseudonym Cogasm.

Gabrels' web-only album Ulysses, available exclusively as an MP3 download from his site www.reevesgabrels.com, was recently nominated for a Yahoo Award for the Best Internet Album. Information on downloading "Yesterday's Gone" via the iCASTER will also be available at Gabrels' site.
