IRONIC MAIDEN?: According to an interview at www.ironmaiden.com,
bassist Steve Harris says the new album "is going great and on schedule
and I personally I think it is some of the best stuff we've ever done.
Everybody has really grafted since we have come off tour and we are all
extremely please with the results. We have near enough finished
recording but we still have a lot of work left to do as far as mixing,
mastering etc. goes." When asked what he thinks of critics who say
metal is dead he states that,"We had a few idiot journos saying that
last year...I don't care
whether they say metal is dead or alive really. I don't care because I
don't care what people call us...I really don't see us as anything in
particular, I suppose that sounds a bit Spinal Tap but I don't really
care what they call us." Ironically, Iron Maiden have recently they
will launch their *Metal* 2000 Tour in Europe this June. Please visit
