Jó hollywood-i forgatókönyv? Az utóbbi időben ez a mondat mindenkiből maximum nevetést váltott ki. Eddig. A Runaway Jury az egyik legjobban megírt forgatókönyv amivel valaha is találkoztam. Okos, szellmes és izgalmas. De ne csak Brian Koppelman-t illese dícséret, hiszen hollywood elitje Gene Hackman-nel az élen is kitesz magáért. (Hoffman és Hackman most találkoznak első alkalommal a filmvásznon. A legjobb jelenet a filmben!) A legnagyobb meglepetés azonban a rendező, Gary Fleder. Idáig középkategóriás filmekkel "szórakoztatott" minket, most pedig összerántja a legnagyobb sztárokat erre a lenyügőző thrillerre.
Christopher Young zenéje ad tökéletes aláfestést a mozinak.
Kellemesen csalódtam, ugyanakkor nem is vagyok elégedett. Picit másra számítottam. A film nagyon magával ragadó, Tom Ripley karaktere (köszönhetően az isteni John Malkovich játékának) fantasztikusan hihető és jól játszott. A szomorú az, hogy nem ő a főszereplő, hanem csak egy mellékszál, aki néha ott van, néha nincs. Aztán a film vége felé rájönnek, hogy mégiscsak róla szól a film, és kicsit előtérbe kerül. Olyan filmre számítottam, amiben ő mozgatja a szálakat, ő keveri a kakaót és a végén jól átver mindenkit. Ettől eltekintve azonban egy izgalmas történet, jól rendezve, jól játszva, szépen fényképezve és egy gyönyörű Morricone zenével.
Megnéztem a filmet és fogalmam sincs, hogy mit láttam. Egy kiöregedett amerikai filmsztár (Bill Murray) és egy unatkozó fiatalasszony (Scarlet Johansson) romantikus egymásra találása Tokióban. Erről szól a film.
Sofia Coppola drámát, romantikát szeretett volna vászonra vinni? Nekem egyiksem jött le. Horror lenne? Abban stimmel, hogy 2 zombi mászkál a városban, és ahelyett, hogy dugnának egy nagyot, végigszenvedik a filmet. Még egy picit kéne tanulni apucitól, aztán újra megpróbálni.
Bill megöregedett, de amit rábíznak azt teljesíti, a kis Scarlett pedig nem egy nagy durranás. A film képi világa és zenéje megér egy nézést.
1989 Nyugat-Németország. Amerikai katonák unják magukat halálra a táborban, és unaloműzésképpen seftelnek, drogoznak, lopnak, csalnak hazudnak. Gregor Jordan filmje nem kis felháborodást váltott ki a javarészt fegyver és háborúpárti amerikai közönségben, nem véletlen, hogy 2 évig dobozban pihent. Kemény görbe tükröt tart a katonák elé, de ugyanakkor viccesre is veszi a figurát (a belőtt katonák tankos ámokfutása alatt majdnem leestem a székről úgy röhögtem:). Joaquin Phoenix brillírozik a seftes baka szerepében, Scott Glenn a vietnami háborút megjárt kemény legény, a "most én megmutatom neked ki vagyok" fazont nyomja, Ed Harris pedig a naiv ezredes szerepében nyújt ismét remek alakítást.
A film talán egyetlen hibája, hogy nagyon jól nyit, és azt már nem tudja felülszárnyalni.
Cate Blanchett nagyon jól mutat cowgirl szerkóban (miben nem mutat jól?), Tommy Lee Jones minél öregebb annál jobb színész, azonban ezek nem mentik meg a filmet. Thomas Eidson sztorija annyira érdektelen és unalmas, hogy kb. 5 percben el lehet mesélni, nem kell belőle 130 perces filmet forgatni. Cate egy gyógyító asszonyt alakít, aki egy farmon él 2 lányával. Egyik nap beállít az édesapja (Tommy) akit látni sem bír, hiszen annak idején elhagyta őket. A nagyobbik lányát elrabolják gonosz indiánok, az apja segítségével utánaerednek SPOILER!!!!! és kiszabadítják, majd Tommy meghal és lánya megbocsát neki.
Ron Howard már másodszor nyúl mellé, pedig anno egész jó filmeket forgatott. Fényképezés (Salvatore Totino) nagyon szép, zene a szokásos Horner, hallottuk már többször

Robert Zemeckis és Joel Silver rendező-producer páros által alapított Dark Castle Inc. újabb horrorfilmje. Az ember azt gondolná, hogy ilyen tapasztalt filmesek jobban megválogatják, hogy milyen történetből, forgatókönyvből készítenek filmet. Sajnos nem így van. Sebastian Gutierrez története újabb bőrt kíván lehúzni az utóbbi időben elterjedt "szellem vagyok, kérem segítsenek!" típusú filmekről. Unalmas, fárasztó és semmi újat nem tud mutatni. A végét meg már tudtam a film közepénél. Mathieu Kassovitz-t tehetséges rendezőnek tartom - sokakkal ellentétben nekem nagyon tetszett a Bíbor folyók - itt azonban más híres horror rendezők (Alfred Hitchcock, Brian de Palma, John Carpenter) jól bevált technikáit használva igyekszik ránk hozni a frászt. Nem sikerül neki.
Halle Berry-re és Robert Downey Jr-ra nincs panaszom, azonban Penélope Cruz-t valaki nagyon gyorsan zavarja el hollywood-ból, mert idegzsábát kapok tőle.
John Ottman zenéje - mint általában - most is nagyon jó.

(a film amúgy teljesen korrekt, ezt az "apró" fiaskót leszámítva.)
