Ez a csodálatos az amerikaiban. Le kell mondanom a 13 éve dédelgetett álmomról, amiért mindent kiadtam magamból, amiért a legjobbamat adtam? Jól van. Akkor arra használom fel a hírnevemet és az alapítványomat, hogy segítsek olyanoknak, akik betegség, vagy baleset miatt agysérülést szevedtek. Az alpítvány várja a segítőket, és a segítségre szorulókat. És különben is enyém a legjobb csaj a világon.

Mes rêves de pour faire le vélo professional sont morts. My dreams to be a professional cyclist are dead. I do not know where to begin. This is the hardest blog I have ever had to write. Yesterday, I was greeted by my Mom and Dad early in the morning in Salt Lake City. I was so surprised to see them but the fake smile on my Mom’s face revealed something was wrong. Roger Legeay had called them the day before to tell them that the French doctors would not release me to race. His voice cracked as he later told me the news and I tried hard to fight back the tears. I did very well on my neuro-psych tests but the doctors said it would be too dangerous if I were to crash and hit my head again. It is hard to take in the fact that all the last 13 years of hard training are now over. I always say that if you do your best in anything be happy and content knowing you did your best. I will always stand by this motto. I did my best and gave my all to get back to the sport of professional cycling and am content with the fact I did my best and I will never ask, what if? Now it is time to move and start new a new life. I am no longer Saul Raisin, cyclist professional for the team Credit Agricole. I am now Saul Raisin, brain injury survivor - soon to be happily married to the most beautiful girl in the world, Aleeza. I have to admit I am scared. I do not now what I want to do or what I will do for a living. Like I have said many times before, my family and I dreamed for me to live a normal life. I now have a normal life and have pledged to give back and help others that have brain and spinal cord injuries or any other major illness. I want to grow my Raisin Hope fund into a foundation. I hope to have shown people to never give up and always fight to the finish. I have been truly blessed with a loving family, friends, and the best support group on earth. I would not be here without all of you and of course all my loyal sponsors. I no longer want www.saulraisin.com to be a haven just for cycling. I want my website to be a refuge for anyone that has an injury or illness to come and feel at home to know that things always do get better. Rettenetesen sajnálom. A radsportaktiv.de fordításából kiderül, hogy jók voltak az eredményei, de az orovosk nem engedik versenyezni, mert órási veszélyekkel járna, ha egy bukásnál újra beütné a fejét. Lözsé is nagyon sajnálta, de elmondta, hogy a kerékpár nagyon veszélyes sport, nem lehet kizárni a bukás lehetőségét, és egy esetleges esés végzetes következményekkel járna az amerikai fiú esetében.
A CA iszonyú rendes vele, mert a jövő év végn jár le a szerződése, de addig továbbra is folyósítani fogják a fizetését.
Szegény most azt írta a honlapján, hogy meghaltak az álmai. Reméljük, hogy összeszdi magát. Irány a főiskola, és ha nem ment nyeregből, majd megy a kisérő kocsi vezető üléséből:-)

Nagyon sajnálom, pedig mindet megtett, hogy újra versenyezhessen. De hát mi ttegyünk, az élete és az egészsége fontosabb.
American rider Saul Raisin, who had been hoping to come back to racing after suffering severe head injuries and falling into a coma last year, has announced that despite his miraculous recovery, his pro cycling career is over. "My dreams to be a professional cyclist are dead," he wrote on his website, saulraisin.com. His French team, Crédit Agricole, announced on Thursday that it would not allow him to return to competition for his own safety after reviewing the results of extensive health testing.

Considered one of America's up-and-coming talents, Raisin suffered severe head injuries resulting from a crash during the Circuit de la Sarthe in April 2006. He was in a coma for a week and was paralysed on the left side of his body after the accident. Despite doctors fearing for possible brain damage, Raisin recovered fully and is now able to lead a normal life, even racing the individual time trial as he did at the US Pro Championships in September this year.

Petacchit nemrég az a megtiszteltetés érte, hogy hű fegyverhordozója, Marco Velo, róla nevezte el újszülött kisfiát. Most pedig ő maga is apai örömök elé néz, a kis lurkó érkezése ráadásul stílusosan éppen a 2008-as Giro ideje alatt várható.
Az a baj, hogy nagyon régimódi vagyok. Nekem az öltönyzokni fekete, a sportzokni fehér. Számomra éppolyan riasztó egy fekete sportzokni, mint ha valaki fehér zoknit vesz fel az öltönyéhez:-)
Kérlek, nekem a focis zoknim mostmár 2 éve egy fekete darab "bátyus" felirattal :)). Tesómtól kaptam még anno, és bejött mint kabala, a fontosabb meccseken mindig az van rajtam. Rém ronda egyébként :). De innen nézve megértem ezeket. :)
Mentségemre szolgáljon, hogy a sportszár alatt nem látszik :).
Bizonyára nem én vagyok az egyetlen, aki nagyon jó szívvel emlékszik vissza a sidney-i olimpiára, és benne a kitűnő, és nagyon kedves pályakerékpáros versenyőnkre, Szabolcsi Szilviára.
Elsőre nem értettem,hogy Levinek miért látszik mindig csak a feje búbja. Aztán rájöttem, hogy olyan kistermetű, hogy a teljes képre már nem fér fel :-).
