Departing VFR flights from Budapest/Ferihegy airport shall not be planned via SIKATOR, MIKLOS, TSEPEL points.
Arriving VFR flights to Budapest/Ferihegy airport shall not be planned via TAPIO, KEREPES, SIKATOR, MIKLOS, TSEPEL points.
PROCEDURES FOR VFR FLIGHTS WITHIN BUDAPEST TMA AND IN AERODROME CONTROL ZONE
4.1 General
ATC clearance for VFR flights within Budapest TMA and in CTR s will be given on the following conditions:
a. Flight plan has to be submitted for request of ATC clearance, according to 3.3.1 of ICAO Annex 2, containing the items 7 to 18 inclusive;
b. ATC clearance shall be obtained immediately before the aircraft enters the area concerned;
c. Position reports shall be submitted in accordance within 3.6.3 of ICAO Annex 2.
d. Deviation from the ATC clearance may only be made, if prior permission has been obtained;
e. The flight shall be conducted with vertical visual reference to the ground;
f. Two-way radio communication shall be maintained on the frequency prescribed. Information about the appropriate frequency can be obtained from”Budapest Information”;
g. The aircraft shall be equipped with SSR transponder with 4096 codes in mode A/C. Exempt from this requirement may be granted by the appropriate ATC unit. Gliders are exempted from these requirements for flights performed within dedicated areas.
4.2 VFR procedures at Budapest/Ferihegy aerodrome and within Ferihegy CTR (See VAC )
4.2.1 Designated VFR entry and exit points to/from Ferihegy CTR :

For flights operating in the north-western part of the CTR , outside the final approach area, the following points are designated for entry/exit:
TSEPEL: 472740N 0190419E
(Csepel bridge – The North end of Csepel island)
MIKLOS: 473244N 0190239E
(Miklós square in Óbuda)
SIKATOR: 473426N 0190929E
(Sikátorpuszta – at the crossing of motorway M3 and motor-road 2/B.)
Departing VFR flights from Budapest/Ferihegy airport shall not be planned via SIKATOR, MIKLOS, TSEPEL points.
Arriving VFR flights to Budapest/Ferihegy airport shall not be planned via TAPIO, KEREPES, SIKATOR, MIKLOS, TSEPEL points.
The last three VFR entry / exit points may not be used for VFR flights arriving at or departing from Budapest Ferihegy airport.
4.2.2 Arriving aircraft
Budapest Approach controls VFR flights approaching from controlled airspace are positioned to final approach by Budapest Approach.to final approach or designated VFR holding areas.
VFR flights approaching from uncontrolled airspace are required toshall enter over designated reportingPAKON, and SOROK points unless otherwise instructed by Ferihegy TWR.
Arrival routes are determined by ATC depending on the current runway in use at Ferihegy airport, as follows:
• In case of direction 31: PAKON - MIKE - RWY 31L landing (see visual approach chart)
• In case of direction 13: SOROK - APLHA - RWY 13R landing (see visual approach chart)
Arrival routes turning points:
• MIKE: 472526N 0191539E (NDB antenna 0,6NM SE from threshold 31L)
• ALPHA: 472718N 0191238E (NDB antenna 0,6NM NW from threshold 13R)
Holding procedure has to be carried out as instructed by ATC . Maximum holding altitude: 1500 feet QNH .
Aeroplanes and helicopters may land on the runways. Designated Helicopter landing area is located SW of RWY 13R/31L between taxiways “A” and “B”. Landing area will be designated by the TWR on initial contact.
Entry into the final approach area designated within Ferihegy CTR (see visual approach chart), allowed only for aircraft landing at Ferihegy airport or executing special operation.
