Tegnap(?) a BBC Top Gear műsorában egy Sagarist(remélem jól írtam) próbáltak ki és nagyon tetszett nekik.

Egy újabb kósza hír az MG megmentésével kapcsolatban.:)

TVR PR menedzsere frappánsan kijelentette, hogy ha ténylegesen vásárlásról lenne szó akkor azt úgyse fogják publikussá tenni amíg az üzlet meg nem köttetik. Igy mivel ők ilyet nem jelentettek ki így nincs miről beszélni, magyarázkodni.

 

Szerintem Smolensky többször is meggondolja, hogy milyen fába vágja a fejszéjét. 

Az MG TF ami talán érdekelné meg a jól felszerelt automata Longbridge-i gyár.

TVR Plotting MG Takeover

ne is on the up, the other is currently down and out - but are two of the most famous sports car manufacturers in Britain about to join forces?

Rumours are rife that TVR bosses are poised to launch an audacious bid to take what's left of MG from the gloom of the administrator and restart production. But that's not all; the plan would see the firm quitting its seaside factory in Blackpool, Lancashire, and moving lock, stock and barrel to the mothballed Longbridge site in Birmingham.

The amazing story is one of several in circulation about what's going to happen to MG Rover and its axed workforce. But this prediction of the future has been given a boost in credibility from an unlikely but highly placed source. Auto Express has learned that one of the most senior people involved with the failed Midlands company has thrown his weight behind the deal. He won't go public with his views, but is understood  ADVERTISEMENT to have first-hand evidence of the ambitious plan.

Also in its favour are the deep pockets of TVR's new owner, the Russian multi-millionaire businessman Nicolai Smolensky. After his surprise purchase of the sports car maker last year, he is believed to be looking for a way out of the ageing Blackpool facility to take the company forward.

While the Longbridge plant is celebrating its centenary this year, it's a far more modern, hi-tech operation than TVR's current home. Smolensky is said to be waiting to see how much money it will take to secure the rights to build the MG TF and buy the tooling. Neither TVR or MG Rover administrator PriceWaterhouseCoopers would comment.

MG and TVR have linked up before. During its nine years in production, between 1958 and 1967, TVR's Gran Tura coupé was fitted with various MG engines and transmissions, with the MkIII car getting the entire MGB gearbox.Paul Bailey

Joospeed scores at Surrey Rolling Road Shoot-out.

Surrey Rolling Road, in conjunction with Pistonheads.com and Joospeed recently organised a TVR Cerbera rolling road dyno shoot out, the aim being to find the most powerful Cerbera and also see how good Cerberas really are on an independant rolling road. Many power figures are heard of for the Cerbera, it's widely known that the 4.5 version doesn't make it's quoted power .. now was our chance to find out exactly what the score was.

Joospeed had three cars present, one of which had the latest pre-production inlet mods and had recorded 400.3bhp on the rollers at Noble Motorsport, the people responsible for the engine in the Noble M12 and creators of the 2 litre 350bhp turbo Duratec that is currently causing a sensation. Sadly this Cerbera only made 392bhp on the day but was still the most powerful car tested, and is the highest independantly recorded figure for a non factory normally aspirated 4.5 Cerbera!

Cyclone’s first run, in standard form, made 339 bhp – 338 lbs torque, which when changing the ECU to a Joospeed Emerald, with a map copied from Satman’s Emerald ECU, made +36bhp and +27 lbs torque gains.

de az biztos, hogy még TVRes szemmértékkel nézve is gyönyörű autó a Shelby Series One Roadster (ami 100% hogy Caroll Shelby :) )

na meg a név : Shelby - azért egy legenda az öreg, ócskavashoz nem adja a nevét :)

Én se venném igazán egy kalap alá a kettőt az Ultimával. Ahogy elnéztem azért van anyag meg luxus az Aeroban rendesen.

Ha azokat a négyzetrácsosfüzet felbontású videókat mondod amik az oldalukon vannak, abból én nem következtetek semmire, de az biztos, hogy nyomatékban nagyon über lehet az a 6.2-es fújt motor.

Elég sokan fenik a fogukat a márkára vagy inkább az üzemekre és szerelősoraikra.

Utóbbi időbe mindenféle reklámhadjárattal próbálta az MG a piaci pozícióját erősíteni, úgy néz ki nem sikerült neki. A konzervatív vezetőség gondolom foggal-körömmel védi a márkát aztán meg örülnek ha vki megveszi gyárat kilóra, állami tőkeinjekció ide vagy oda a BMW is rájött elég hamar, hogy mi az ábra.

A Shelby Super Car Aero 8 azért elég komoly gép lehet !
