It is with infinite sadness that we learned yesterday the disappearance of the guitarist Sylvain Luc
Great musician, he has never ceased to amaze us with his virtuoso playing, mixing jazz guitar, classical, toned with rock, Brazilian and a thousand other colors.
Sylvain was also a regular and friend of the Django Reinhardt festival where he has never stopped performing since the mid-90s.
Whether with his solo projects or alongside the greatest musicians like André Cecarrelli, Richard Galliano, Michel Portal, Stéphane Belmondo, Sylvain has always shined.
We also remember his iconic duo with his loyal friend Bireli Lagrène. The two playmates had dazzled us during their transition to Jazz at Theatre in 2021.
The whole Festival team is thinking of him, Marylise, his wife, family and loved ones.
